at least roissy understands me. how describes my job PERFECTLY:
-
Conscientious application to menial desk jockey multitasks is what women’s brains are best at. Our society exists at a strange moment of economic limbo between two worlds — the past manufacturing based world and the future transhuman world — a limbo where paper pushing, legalistic gear grinding, government welfare administration, and service with a smile has infested like a toxic mold almost every tier of vertical and horizontal economic productivity. It is the kind of work, in substance and in psychological reward, that is soul-crushing to men but fulfilling to women.
That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
Women get pissed off at menial desk jocky jobs just as much as men.
And women are suited for many different types of careers. What is with all this generalization?
“Women get pissed off at menial desk jocky jobs just as much as men.”
maybe, but i just don’t see it.
not that all women are cut out for it. i just get the feeling that some women are able to put up with it more.
could be just my observation bias, though. i work with about nine women. our jobs are incredibly mundane. drives me crazy. they seem fine with it.
this also is not just anecdotal. it jives with what i have read about the masculine energy and the feminine energy. the masculine energy strives for greatness, or destruction. conquest of some sort. whereas feminine energy wants to cultivate at a smaller scale.
i need to learn more about this.
“Women get pissed off at menial desk jocky jobs just as much as men.”
lol talk about generalisations.
Japanese men seem plenty good at it.
So good they’ve kept the women out. Even these days the vast amount of salary men are in fact men.
It’s interesting that a lot of things that men say are the same if not worse in japan, yet they haven’t had feminism. I think when some in the manosphere talk about feminism they actually mean female.
Though I don’t think the female nature is to blame for japan. is it mass corporate culture? My grandpa thinks modern men are a disgrace but he blames namby pampby child rearing from
the 60s and lack of wars. And lack of national service of course.
i don’t know too much about japanese work life. but it does remind me of the this american life radio show episode about NUMMI, where the japanse made their assembly line jobs much more interesting than in the states.
